While the location is right off the interstate and convenient to public transit, it would not be a pleasant walk to downtown (due to missing sidewalks at the interstate). The building itself is one of those old fashioned motels with each room having its own exterior door. We stayed on the first floor which was below the parking lot so to get into the room from the car we had to traverse some slippery steps; I almost fell twice, and I was completely sober both times. The drainage wasn't good on the sidewalk in front of the first floor doors. The door stuck, so it required an extra push to open and close it. While the room itself was clean, the bathtub had several stains; the ceiling over the bathtub looked like it was in the process of being repaired (visible sheetrock seams), and the light cover had a gap between it and the fixture hole. The toilet must have used ten gallons with every flush, and the baseboards were not flush with the walls. The bed was comfortable, and the noise level was tolerable. We both agreed that we stayed in a Motel Six room, but we paid about the same ($*/night) for the Hilton we stayed at in Knoxville earlier this year.

In order to accommodate the roll away bed I moved both double beds from the center about six inches each. To my surprise I found McDonalds debris along with other debris that became visible. I asked for another room, which was two doors down that also had debris under them in less quanities than the first room. The roll away bed that I prepaid for had to be borrowed from an adjacent hotel and appeared not to have fresh linen on it. When I booked the room it had a three star rating, it should be 1/2 star. I felt that the room was over priced.

Front desk staff seemed annoyed to check us in. The room STANK of cat urine. The sink and shower didn't work properly. The beds were dirty. The pillows seemed so old that Jefferson probably slept on them. The AC unit was so loud that it woke us up every 10 minutes. The drunks in the parking lot were making noise until 2am. I had to keep looking out the window to see if my car had been stolen. And for this they charged $*! If it hadn't been so late and I wasn't so tired I would have (and should have) left as soon as I opened the door! My advice: sleep in your car, it is better than this place!

Stayed there June 8 & 9. The staff at the desk was very friendly. There were no wash cloths in the room. Found two wash cloths on the shower curtain rod from the previous guests. One had a live roach in it. Two of the four lights in the room did not light. Some one from the staff checked on the room condition at approximately 3:00 PM on the 9th and we requested clean towels and wash cloths only (no need to make the beds). It never happened.
