We booked this hotel on the recommendation of a friend and after our stay I will recommend this hotel to anyone. Our family of four went to D.C. for an extended weekend and the two room layout was very nice...we were able to put the kids to bed early and not bother them while we watched t.v. and planned the next day in the bedroom. The breakfast was excellent and there were plenty of choices - made to order omlets and eggs, french toast, waffles, pancakes, sausage, bacon, hash browns, hot oatmeal, a variety of cold cereals, pastries and doughnuts, bagels, juices, etc. The staff was very warm and helpful and I was impressed to see the general manager out every morning at breakfast checking with guests to make sure their stay was going well. We had a small issue with the springs in our hide-a-bed that we mentioned to him on Friday, he said he would have it fixed immediately. It was not fixed (it wasn't a big deal, we just didn't want to be charged if it was found after our checkout) so we mentioned it again to gentleman at the desk upon checkout. Later that afternoon, my husband recieved an email from the GM stating that he had heard the problem had not been taken care of and he was putting 2,000 extra Hilton Honors points in our account. It really wasn't that big of a deal to us but the fact that he followed up after checkout was impressive. I was a little leary of using the hotel shuttle because I didn't want to be stranded at the Metro station waiting. We used it the first day and I was highly satisfied. They told us to allow 25 minutes after our call for the shuttle to make it to the Dunn Loring station. I would suggest calling from your cell when the Metro stops at the West Falls Church station...it timed out perfectly for us. We had a great stay and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
