This hotel has spectacular views, great service and location was better than anyone gives credit for. At first, I thought this hotel was kind of far from Pike's Market especially when you have to walk up that steep hill back to the hotel. But the Concierge at the hotel pointed out that I can take the #12 bus (and it was free!# and it would litereally drop you off right outside the doors of the hotel. Also, the same bus can take you to a spot where you can take the Monorail to the Space Needle if you want. So location wise, this hotel is quite convenient.
The room that I got #corner King Suite) had a great view of downtown. I highly recommend it!

With upgrade to a corner King room, free self-parking (or free breakfast, your choice), and your choice of the Seattle Times or Wall Street Journal, this was an exceptional value. Within a few blocks of sports venues, Pioneer Square, waterfront & Pikes Place Mkt. The hotel is next to the freeway, so noise is a little factor. It is clean (windows need cleaning to take advantage of views) and the bed is very comfortable. Mini fridge, coffee maker. NO free wifi - something most hotels/motels provide nowadays. Don't forget to put out the little "do not disturb" card, or you'll be awakened the next morning with housekeeping knocking on your door. Desk staff is friendly & efficient. One thing -- my husband (different surname) was not on the reservation since I had booked it, and had a problem with his door card. Went to desk to ask for different card, & they had to verify by calling the room but I was in the shower (I heard the phone ringing.) He did not get a new card, AND they kept the one he had handed to them. Hotel has a restaurant if you don't want to walk downhill, then back up - Starbuck's off the lobby.
