My room was generally comfortable. I really only had two issues during my stay. First, the television setup was very annoying. It kept reverting to the menu that offered the pay channels and movies. The TV setup appeared very skewed toward offering the expensive movies and such and getting to free local television was cumbersome. The cost of pay-per-view movies was also very expensive. I could have gone out and bought the DVD for the same price. This may be a big issue for some - fortunately for me, I don't watch much TV. Second, the bed had a very thin sheet and a very heavy comforter. So, my choices were get cold or get too hot. Other than these two issues I enjoyed my stay in this room.
A nice, newer hotel that's a hop, skip, and a jump from town

I would hesitate to use the word "utilitarian" because that term often connotes something that gets the job done, no frills attached. Nonetheless, despite the presence of frills, utilitarian seems an apt description of this hotel: it has what you need and also a little bit more.
To start, the hotel is only a few miles from downtown, but it's also in close proximity to the main casino, the Sandia Peak Tram, and other area attractions. If you're looking to explore much of what Albuquerque has to offer, you can't beat this location.
I found the service personnel to be courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. The hotel's cable television connection malfunctioned during my stay, and the staff was on top of the problem immediately. They were extremely apologetic about the inconvenience and even called to let me know when the problem was fixed. I walked away impressed with the professionalism and hospitality exhibited by every employee I met.
Finally, and most importantly, the quality of the room was in line with the price. The room was big (not huge), clean, quiet, and had free wired and wireless internet. It was a good deal for the money.

This is our favorite place to stay when we are in Albuquerque. The staff is polite, the rooms are VERY clean, the pool is always a hit with the kids and breakfast is very good. We usually stay in a room with two beds, but have also stayed in the jr. suites. Both are wonderful. I highly recommend it to anyone.

The staff was competent as well as polite. The Jr. Suite I booked was very nice and clean as a whistle! I was surprised that there was a restaurant at this property, breakfast was excellent as well as the service. I arrived late in the evening and was told that the only Jr. suite remaining was on the fourth floor which was a smoking floor but the room was non-smoking. As it turned out I did not detect any smoke through the vents. I thought Hilton's were 100% non-smoking?
Also a convenient location close to I-25, but not so close that you could not sleep with the windows open, which I did...nothing like fresh air!
