After living in the town for some time, it was nice to have another hotel downtown! Very classy, sleek, and modern. I appreciated the room for entertaining--even in a studio unit! A full kitchen, glass shower and deep whirlpool tub were all much more than we expected for the price. This will definitely be where we stay when we're in town from now on!

  • Wonderful in every way!

Very nice room set up studio apartment style with kitchen, large open bedroom and large bath. modern style, concrete floors, maybe not for everyone, but definitely my aesthetic! great service.

Parking during check in is difficult to find and use, especially if arriving from the south. Signage should be better. Access to the lobby is terrible. I was stuck in the entry while waiting for someone at the desk to notice me, walk at a snails pace to the door some 50 feet away, and let me in. They really need some sort of intercom/buzz in system. The room itself was sleek and contemporary, and the bath was very nice. The noise coming for them street was horrendous though. We stayed on a Saturday night, mid-winter on the fourth floor with the windows tightly closed and we could hear bar patrons on the parkade talking and chatting as they walked by as clearly as if they were on the balcony outside. This went on until after 2am non-stop making it nearly impossible to sleep. We could also hear other guests in the hall as they arrived late back at their rooms, and could clearly hear every word spoken by the guests in the adjoining room. Service was fair and the staff, what little there was, was friendly, but for the noise reasons alone, I will never stay here again.

  • Not Much To Say.

I liked the hotel, it was in a nice area with the university of iowa just a walk down the street.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for my wife's interview at the University of Iowa Hospitals. The hotel was nice and new, the room was nice, but the customer service was absolutely awful especially considering it is the most expensive hotel in Iowa City. When we woke up in the morning no hot water was avilable in the room. We called the front desk and they siad they didn't know when hot water would be restored but we could walk a block to another hotel where they had hot water. Although it was January and it was &10 below outside. Since my wife had to get to her interview this was not an option due to time constraints. Upon checkout we brought this issue up to the manager and he did nothing. No discount in price, no free room the next time we visit, nothing. So we get home and realize that we had forgotten a bag at the hotel. We contact the hotel and tell them we forgot a bag and they say they have found it and they will send it immediately. Only, they never bothered to send it. We contacted them again and they apparently lost it at some point. Again, we contacted the hotel and absolutely no apology, no price discount, nothing. So stay here if you like, but hopefully nothing goes wrong because they certainly aren't going to do anything to rectify the situation...
