One cannot beat the location of the Ibis Ambassador Seoul. It is at the edge of the Myeongdong shopping district, one block to city hall, eight blocks to Insadong, and a long walk to the two palaces, as well as being one-half block from subway line 2 (Green line). The staff is excellent, helpful for information. The hotel itself is adequate,
but looking worn. The carpets need to be replaced. This being said, I would still stay here again as the location is superb.

this place is an absolute gem when it comes to location and staff service. I absolutely reccommend this place, and if ever i have to go back, i would stay here again. just ride the limosine bus#6015 outside exit 13 for 10,000KRW and it'll dropmyou off right on the side of the hotel. Most staff were friendly and courteous, esp one guy which a shame i forgot his name, he's very sincere and glad to help out for directions. Some of them are snobby but neglectable. Otherwise the hospitality of the rest of the staff makes up for it.

The room was very clean when I stayed. The breakfast buffet was ok. The workout room consisted of cardio machines and very light weights, so if you're a gym freak you'd want to look elsewhere. It was minutes from the shopping district and subway station. The staff was friendly and spoke English well. I'd stay here again if I wanted to go back to Seoul.

The location is great with many restaurants and shopping all in the area. The staff are always there to help, although it can get rather busy in the lobby when a few groups need to check in. Perhaps more lobby staff is needed. Cheers.

After staying at many other higher priced hotels in my previous trips, I pick this one for the low price only... but I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to go from the ICN airport to the front of the hotel via Bus #6015. The basic room wasn't huge but similar in size to mid level hotels in Japan. Its location in the middle of Myoung Dong area provided many good eating places and access to subway #2 within 10 min. walk.
Will go back the next time!
