This hotel is located approx. $30 taxi ride from the airport, all the way in town. A loooong way, but seeing the local culture along the way was interesting The staff was wonderful, their fiafia was fabulous and the room was good for the price I paid. No beach nearby, but their pool was nice. The tour options were pretty disappointing, though...They only run the shuttle with the people staying in that particular hotel, they don't pick up from any others...so I was unable to do anything, because no one else had signed up and they wouldn't take just me. January is part of their rainy season...it's not like Hawaii or even Florida where it rains for 20 minutes and that's it for the day. No, it started Friday afternoon and did not stop once until Sunday evening...torrential! I stopped into Aggie's Beach Resort on my return to the airport...beach was beautiful, nice pool, newer facility, etc. In the event I ever go back, I will stay there, but overall was not disappointed with the Bungalows. XXX is very hands-on and I spoke with her several times, it was a nice touch on a family run hotel.
