Got in late, needed to cancel 1 room. Staff pleasant, made adjustments without hassle and without charge. Complimentary breakfast was outstanding.

Overall a very positive experience. Though no problem arose, I was concerned that there was no anti-slip apparatus on the floor of the tub/shower.

We stayed at this hotel over spring break, and although it is quite a distance (a couple of miles) from the central part of DC, it was convenient in that the hotel had a free shuttle to Union Station. The first few days, the shuttle was very dependable. The last couple of days...not so much. HIE customers shared shuttle rides with the Fairfield Inn next door, so between them, there was a shuttle every 30 minutes. We had to wait quite a while one day at Union Station for a return shuttle, but more than likely, it was the Fairfield shuttle that was not running at that time. We had quite an ordeal on the last day, however. We waited 2 hours for the return from Union Station! Many other people from both hotels were waiting as well. I never got an explanation for the delay, but it appeared that they were running short one shuttle, and were sending a minivan that seated 6 instead of the usual bus that seats 14. Our room was always nice and clean. However, my uncle stayed one night too. His room was not clean from the last customer when he checked in. He notified the front desk before we went to dinner, but when we returned, it still was not clean...unmade beds and dirty towels. :( On a positive note, the hotel was new and clean, breakfast was good (free), and the staff was friendly.

Everything was great except getting in and out of the parking lot. I know there is nothing you can do about your location but I found it extremely frustrating just trying to buy gas or go to Taco Bell and then get back to the hotel because of the medians and corner location. They also had construction that narrowed the street from 3 lanes to one.
