Did not know this is not really a hotel, but a group of privately owned condos/rooms with management services. Very steep stairs to our second floor unit. Nice view, nice bathroom, but not updated decor and not a newer mattress - the old spring type of mattress where the sheets come untucked the minute you get in. No ice cube trays in tiny fridge. Had to drive to the golf clubhouse where they filled a plastic bag with ice for us. Clubhouse is where you can go to the window and order breakfast. No phone in our room, and no maid service. Someone brought a fresh set of small, thin towels and did not make the bed or empty the trash. The golf course we played was okay, but "resort" does not describe this out in the middle of nowhere golfing club.

We came here to play golf and spend time on Torch Lake with the family and this is exactly what we got. We stayed for a week in a 3 bedroom condo on their new golf course Sundance, the unit was very spacious and new. There was granite counter tops and a full nice kitchen which we used quite a bit. They have 2 golf courses which are both excellent and quite different. The Sundance course is more of a open links design with wide fairways and big greens, very nice for those of us that like to spray the ball a little. The Torch course was more of a wooded course with great views and nice elevation changes, the greens are very nice with a lot of contour on them. When we weren't golfing we were on Torch Lake, this is by far the nicest lake that we have ever visited, the water is crystal clear blue and makes you think that you are in the Bahamas. There is a boat launch right across from the golf course that was very handy for our jet skis and small 18 footer that we brought up. At the south end of the lake is a sand bar that everyone hangs out at, this is perfect for the kids as the water only comes up to their waste so they were able to splash around and have a blast. What a great week we had, the service was great at both the restaurant and on the golf courses, we will for sure be going back this summer.
