My husband and I stayed at the Villas for three nights (April 4- April 7, 2011). Initially, we were given a very smelly room with a view of construction. After complaining, we were given a new fresh room with an ocean view! The room had a ceiling fan, new stainless steel applicances , and a stand-in tile shower . Most of all sleeping in the hammocks at the hotel was priceless. Oh- the ignuans, swans, and other native animals also enjoy all the attention. Look for the siamese cat that I fell in love with it. Overall, the staff is satisfactory. Some are very friendly and helpful. Starbucks is on the premises. We ate at Sub-Way for breakfast and hit Old San Juan for real drinks and ethnic food. Check out Maria's for authentic drinks(Pina Coladas) & La Cafe Princessa ( a little pricey but worth it)! Take the bus- right across from Sub-Way (near hotel) and take a taxi back if you stay late. Enjoy! We did!

The staff was very. Pleasant and efficient. Food was of good quality. When inquiring about restaurants. Very. Little info was given. Iwould like to recommend cafe Puerto Rico. For. Delicious local food. Tha mafungo with steak was delicious as well as the pistachio flan. The Latin roots. Restaurant had delicious lechon. And salsa lessons in the evening. Both require reservations. Both in old San Juan We stayed at the caribe Hilton hotel not the lagoon. The hotel was severely overpriced for all food. Also a $20 a day resort fee. For what I have no clue Parking is an additional $16 per day. The cab rude from the hotel to old San Juan was $12 per way.
