Very well decorated and comfortable room, not large but not too cramped and with an unusually large bathroom. Feather pillows were a little lumpy. Flow-regulated shower was a little anemic, probably due to local regulstion. Free parking under the building. Free internet worked great. Free breakfast with delicious hot or cold breakfast choices. For the center of Stamford, this hotel is an excellent value in a safe downtown neighborhood. I would definitely choose to stay here should I return to the area.

I visit Stamford often because I have family living there and can't always stay with them. I have stayed in almost every hotel in Stamford and this one is one of, if not the best in my opinion. The rooms are small, the beds are on the hard side, it is quiet enough and clean enough for me. How can one argue with the price that includes parking, wifi, breakfast,hotel taxi service to anywhere in Stamford, and full use of the YMCA facility that is connected to the hotel? The location is withing walking distance of everything that matters in downtown Stamford. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Great stay, clean, and quiet night, great services.

I arrived and was greeting in a warm and professional manner. I really approved of having to use your room key to access the elevator and stairwells (no one without a key can access the rooms of the hotel!) Once in my bedroom, I was pleased with the plump queen bed in very comfortable sheets and duvet, a bench at the foot of the bed, a chair, a desk with chair, a chest of drawers and tv. The bedside tables had very art deco lamps and an alarm clock with a iPod charger so you can wake up to your own music or regular alarm settings. The bathroom had a huge walk in shower with a adjustable shower head, art deco lights, a mosaic tile and was very spa like...along with two fluffy robes hanging from a hook on the bathroom door! Very nice neighborhood. An Irish pub next door, as well as an Italian restaurant and a bar and grill down the road. The lobby was opulent. Price? What you'd pay for a much cheaper hotel chain (hotel 6?) with all the comforts of a much more expensive brand of hotels. My new favorite hotel in Stamford. Will stay again and again and ....you get the point. :)
