It was an amazing class I learned so much about Thai cooking and culture. I can't wait to show off all my new cooking skills to my friends and family in the USA. The Right Choice! Rockin -- Oct 22, 2010 02:27 am I was fortunate to take Thai Cooking Schools BKK class at the start of my Thailand vacation as I learned many things about the fruit and vegetables and meats of Thailand from the market trip and I can now fancy up all my food creations as we elected to take the optional part of the group class, food sculpture for presentation. I also learned of the Thai's adding MSG by the spoonfuls to the food the eat and serve you and you must ask for it not to be added or you will be eating this addictive preservative drug with every meal as it is used a flavoring by most all Thai restaurants and street vendors. Then there was the Thai cuisine class itself which I did all the prep and the cooking and the eating and had lots laughs to boot. It was the most delicious Thai food I tasted on my whole trip. I was so impressed I took a two additional classes one as a refresher and a second class for fruit carving on the last days of my Thailand vacation. I had taken a vegetarian cooking class the day previous but it turned out to be "A FUN CLASS" and didn't include technique and as I wanted technique I i registered for a private class with the air conditioned cooking school next door, Thai Cooking School Bkk, a Cooking Schools Intl. school, immediately following the fun class and was absolutely impressed with the class. From the very informative trip to the market to the class beginning with an introductory fruit and vegetable carving for presentation lesson followed by the thouroughly explained Thai cuisine lessons which included technique. The class aromas are still in my nostrils and my mouth salivates just thinking about the taste. Our name has changed to Thai Cooking School BKK from Ma-Sa-Man Cooking School & Bakery and is the latest Cooking School International CSI establishment and is now operating in Bangkok Thailand.

Thanaporn Boonloh (Lee) B.B.A., has, now opened her own school an action that’s been long overdue! Chef Lee has taught thousands of students over the past five years all whom would testify that Lee is an absolute pleasure to work with! Her English is direct and she has that famous Thai charm in abundance.
As an accredited Thai chef and food sculptor with degrees from Dusit (cooking training) & Rajaporn Universities (B.B.A.), Lee maintains the highest of standards, which is, along with the fact that she teaches you “the craft”, “the secrets of technique”, is some of what separates her school and a CSI School from most other Thai cooking schools in Bangkok.

CSI is located in old Bangkok just 15 minute walk north from the infamous Khao San road police station, and 10 minute walk north of Rambutri Rd. You can also arrive by river boat at pier 13 Phra Arthit then enjoy a 5 minute walk along the river then through the old battlement in the riverside park, a left and a right, and a right and in 20 minutes you are at the school.

CSI schools cater to all skill levels from our youngest student, a six year old, who was a bread cooking student, to worldly professional chefs, to airlines mechanized food preparation chefs, to those who love Thai food and also tourists who want a little bit of Thai culture to share back home. For those of you who desire to be artistic, our vegetable and fruit sculpture classes are for you.

1000bt to learn the five Thai dishes of the day followed by a midday feast of your creations in Ma-Sa-Man Cooking School & Breadery’s environmentally controlled (air conditioned) classroom. (Some schools charge 1000bt per dish. Most don’t teach “the craft”. Most are outdoors in the heat and smog!)
