My friend and I are both 22 and have never trekked before. We embarked on a 5 month trip across Australia, Nepal, India and South East Asia. While visiting Nepal we decided we really wanted to do a trek of some kind and settled on Everest Base Camp. For two people with zero experience and on a fairly tight budget we were a little nervous to find something that would fit our needs. My friend came across Budget Adventure Treks and checked it out for the two of us. She spoke for weeks asking questions back and worth with Sudeep and Raj.
These two are beyond helpful and attentive to our needs. We confirmed our trek dates and booked when we would be staying with them. My friend and I decided that we wanted to do the trek just the two of us instead of a larger group so that we could go at our own pace. As soon as we arrived we were immediately greeted with warmth and we felt right at home.
Our trek was to be 8 days up to Base Camp and three days to come back down. We even requested to have two acclimatization days as we were nervous about the altitude and they honored our every request. Raj even took the time out of his busy schedule to help my friend buy a pair of pants that would be appropriate for the weather on our trek.
Our guide Sujan was fantastic and both of us would highly recommend him. He was attentive and made sure we understood what was going to be happening each day. We had a fantastic time on the 8 days up to Base Camp and felt that we were completely taken care of.
I unfortunately came down with altitude sickness right after visiting Base Camp and had to be taken to the hospital in Kathmandu. Once I arrived, Raj came himself to see if I was alright. I can't even begin to explain how much this meant to me.
If you are looking for a company that will give you the best value for your money, this is your place. Not only that, but you will feel like family from the moment you contact them until the day you leave.
