Discover magical Myanmar at your own pace and soak up the atmosphere of this fascinating destination, discovering the often-overlooked areas of Yangon, Bagan, Mandalay and Inle Lake.

This carefully tailored walking tour of mystical Myanmar gives you the chance to see the most captivating side of this fabulous nation through slow-paced interactions and leisurely strolls, ensuring you don’t miss a moment of magic.

You’ll take a walking tour through the backstreets of Yangon, led by a guide who will show you the insider experiences of the interesting city. You will discover the way colonization changed the face of the country forever, and see the fascinating juxtaposition between British-style buildings and religious landmarks.

From Yangon you will head to Bagan where your cultural adventure will continue as you get inside the local community with visits to Nyuang Oo Market before further investigating the region’s enthralling temples, such as the Shwezigon Pagoda, Wetkyi-In Gubyaukgyi, a cave temple with exquisite jataka paintings and then the Htiliminlo Temple, famous for its delicate sandstone decorations and carvings.

You’ll next explore Mandalay, first stopping at Mahamuni Pagoda before stopping in at several workshops to learn about local handicraft production of items such as kalaga tapestry production and carpentry. You will also have the chance to observe a unique ceremony at the Maha Muni Pagoda where every morning monks gather to wash the 3.5 meter-tall Buddha statue and clean the deity’s teeth. You’ll also cross the 200-year-old wooden U Bein Bridge which stretches for 1.2 kilometers to reach the ‘City of Immortality’, Amarapura.

The final leg of your Myanmar tour takes you to see the absorbing stilted villages of Inle Lake and its surrounding area as you explore the unique region by boat, while being based in the village of Nyaung Shwe.
