The Historic Silverbow Inn is located two blocks from the state capitol, the Juneau convention center, the waterfront, and the South Franklin Street shopping district.
Downtown Juneau has something for everyone. Whether you are an avid hiker, or a city stroller, it's all within easy walking distance. There are tours, museums, theater, and many hiking trails.
The lobby contains an eclectic collection of antiques and personal memorabilia. There is a large breakfast table, easy chairs, a library, games and puzzles.
Every morning, stroll downstairs to the smell of hot fresh bagels, breads and pastries from our bakery next door. Our complimentary breakfast also includes fresh fruit, a variety of cereals, sausage, cheeses, yogurt, coffee, tea, and juice. Hot tea, coffee and fresh baked pastries will await your return each afternoon. Wine & cheese is available free to our guests during our evening social hour.
Each room is individually decorated and equipped with full bath, cable television and a private phone line.
The Silverbow building contains the oldest operating bakery in the state of Alaska. There has been a bakery here continuously since the 1890's. Now it is the site of the first traditional bagel bakery in Alaska.
Located in the oldest section of our historic downtown building is The Back Room restaurant. The menu is large and diverse. The emphasis is on great pastas and hot sandwiches, all served with fresh bread from our famous bakery next door. We stay open late for wine & beer, light fare, and fantastic homemade desserts. Everybody loves the back room, from the steak lover to the vegetarian.
Room service is offered daily.
