Amenities
The Silverbow building contains the oldest operating bakery in the state of Alaska. There has been a bakery here continuously since the 1890's. Now it is the site of the first traditional bagel bakery in Alaska.
Located in the oldest section of our historic downtown building is The Back Room restaurant. The menu is large and diverse. The emphasis is on great pastas and hot sandwiches, all served with fresh bread from our famous bakery next door. We stay open late for wine & beer, light fare, and fantastic homemade desserts. Everybody loves the back room, from the steak lover to the vegetarian.
