Rrenvyle House Hotel is set on a 150 acre estate on the shores of the Wild Atlantic Way in Connemara, Co. Galway.

Locally is the Connemara National Park with pathed walks of varing degres of difficulty - including one which goes to the top of Diamond Mountain. Kylemore Abbey. it's Gothic church and Victorian walled gardens are 8 km from Renvyle House and the Connemara Lady (Ferry Boat) which cruises on Killary Fjord - Ireland's only fjord.

There are a multitude of reasons why guests enjoy our hotel and its surroundings.

Renvyle House is considered a building of architectural importance and, it has been the ethos of Renvyle's owners over the last few decades to source bedroom furnishings designed and made in Ireland in keeping with the Arts & Crafts design of the old house when rebuilt in the 1920's.

Characteristics are clean lines, use of solid Irish oak and furniture and furnishings being made by skilled local craftsmen.

Tastefully decorated in Connemara colours and fabrics our rooms are comfortable and most have excellent sea views. All rooms are en suite with both bath and shower, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities, TV & Radio.

Our Suites are spacious, have seperate sitting rooms, walkin shower and jacuzzi baths.

Reception is open from 8am to 11pm. Room Service is available during these times. Bar Food Menu available between 1 - 2pm and between 6.30pm and 8pm. in the evenings.

we have many ground floor roms suitable for those who require or just prefer grouhd floor and also there is a specially adapted room for wheel chair access. Pets are allowed but we do ask that all dogs are kept on a leash at all times and owners provide their pets with a pet bed.

The hotel is located on 200 acres which include a private lake, a 9-hole golf course, 1km of beach, woodlands and gardens. Over several centuries, Renvyle House has been built, pulled down, rebuilt, burned to ashes and rebuilt once again. A chieftain of one of the oldest and most powerful Gaelic clans in Connacht once lived here. It was also the home of Oliver St. John Gogarty (Buck Mulligan of James Joyce's "Ulysses") and, since becoming a country house hotel in 1883, Renvyle House has played host to many famous people - Augustus John, Lady Gregory, Yeats and Churchill among them.
