The Cabot Trail Hostel is surrounded by the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The park is known for it's spectacular Highlands and Ocean Scenery. Within the Park, several dozen species of rare or threatened plants and animals can be found, as well as old growth forests and small populations of Artic-Alpine plants. An excellent hiking area with trails suitable for all ages and abilities. Pleasant Bay has excellent Whale Watching facilities and is known as the Whale Watching Capital of Cape Breton.

The hostel offers dorm beds in either the 10 bunk dorm or 4 bunk dorm. We also have a Private/Family Room that can sleep up to 5 people and a Private Room with available cot.
Two kitchens are available.
BBQ on one of the decks.

Pets are not permitted.
Children are only permitted to sleep in Private or Family rooms.

Guests are advised to get their gas and groceries in either Cheticamp or Ingonish as facilities in the town are limited.
There are restaurants within walking distance of the hostel.
