I grew up in Oregon and as many people do, I dreamed of coming to Alaska. Several years ago I just decided to pack up and move to Alaska. I loved Alaska so much I want to share the experience with others. Well here I am now, living my dream, building a log cabin deep in the woods off the beaten path. I don't hear the sounds of cars and have the view of a lifetime. We are only minutes away from Cook Inlet where the halibut are abundant and even closer to world renown salmon fishing streams and rivers. The Anchor River, Ninilchik River, and Deep Creek are just a few miles away. About an hour drive north runs the famous Kenai River where the worlds largest king salmon are caught.Homer, Alaska - Halibut Capitol of the world, is just twenty-five minutes to the south. Halibut season starts late April to early May and runs through AugustIf its clam digging you like, there are great opportunities on the nearby beaches. Deep Creek, just up the road, and Clam Gulch, about twenty-five minutes north are some of the best anywhere. There are closer beaches you can dig as well. We have a wonderful rustic log cabin style lodge. The lodge has 2 fully furnished bedrooms. Each bedroom will sleep four, a full bathroom with a shower, and a large sunroom over looking the Alaska Range mountains. It is a very serene setting. As construction proceeds, there will be a new laundry facility, and additional rooms. Tent camping spaces are available - call for special rates. A nice place to park or camp for the night, week, or.. ? You get the picture!
