Fiddler's Green Ranch is a rustic resort destination for horse and nature lovers located in the heart of Florida's Ocala National Forest.
The trail head to the famed 100 Mile Horse Trail system is a short ride away, popular with endurance riders as well as those seeking relaxing eco-touring by horseback. The sandy trails have good footing for barefoot horses and offer diverse habitat and topography with spring fed lakes, hills, pine and scrub hammocks. Ranging from narrow and twisty to straight and broad, there are many, many trails to keep riders and hikers fascinated. Wildlife sightings in this pristine wilderness include black bear, wild turkey, bald eagles, sand hill cranes, and the bold and curious scrub jay which will readily take nuts from your hand.
Some of the best canoeing and kayaking in the state is found at nearby Alexander and Juniper Springs. Crystal clear water in a tropical setting with turtles, wading birds and alligators sunning on logs are all guaranteed sightings sure to delight everyone, from families, to serious adventurers, to photographers and artists.
