Atlantic Trails is an incredible MTBiking route program along the most beautiful and unspoiled coastline of Portugal!
Starting in the historical village of Grandola and finishing in the most southern point of Europe, this tour is a mix of experiences. You'll discover and admire the natural beauty of the different scenery, offering stunning coastal views along the way and feeling the essence of some the forgotten rural villages of Alentejo. Along the way you will discover some small fishing villages where you still can see some traces of Roman Civilization! The trip finishes at the most southern point in Europe, Cape Saint Vincent, which adds a dramatic and historical full stop to this wonderful trip.

Day 1: Arrival - Welcome at Lisbon Airport
Transfer from Lisbon Airport to a Grândola (2h30).

Day 2: Bike Grândola to Santiago do Cacém (35km, +850m)
Leave Grandola and cross a beautiful hilly region with an impressive and unique cork oak forest, riding through amazing single- trails till you get Santiago do Cacém, a blend of maritime coast, pine forest and Alentejo inspiration, well known for its castle, a fortification of Moorish origin later rebuilt by the Christians.

Day 3: Bike Santiago do Cacém to Vila Nova de Milfontes (56km, +800m)
The mountain of Sintra will immediately take your breath away. Start with a circular walk into the moon hills as Sintra Mountain was known! This route goes up to 488 meters above sea, where you will find the sanctuary of Peninha. That will be the moment to just lay back and enjoy the breathtaking 360º view. Today you have been around elegant paths of the forest, accompanied by the beauty of the sea and land, perfect to enjoy the silence and contemplate the infinite sky.

Day 4: Bike Vila Nova de Milfontes to Odeceixe (50km, +450m)
Leaving Vila Nova de Mil Fontes you will ride on SW Alentejano Natural Park with amazing views over the sea and visit the stunning Sardão Cape with its beautiful lighthouse watching the ocean. Admire the incredible Stork's nests in these amazing overhangs! Ride close to high remarkable cliffs and visit the typical village of Zambujeira do Mar. Continue through fields till you go down to a river crossing. Here is where you will reach a new region - the Wild Algarve!

Day 5: Bike Odeceize to Arrifana (53km, +600m)
Start the day going to one of the most beautiful scenery of this Coast - Odeceixe beach! After crossing a plateau where you will ride along fields of sweat-potatoes and water channels it's time to go down again for more incredible beaches. Then follow a valley where once caravels sailed to the village of Aljezur about 5Km inland. Go up the narrow streets through typical houses and reach the medieval castle of Aljezur! Follow the winding road that sweeps down from the cliffs tops to the sea where you will find a stunning village by the ocean - Monte Clérigo. End in an amazing village over the Cliffs - Arrifana!

Day 6: Bike Arrifana to Pedralva (44km, +800m)
Start riding on top of an indescribable plateau just to go down this dirt road to the secret Canal Beach and record on your memory an image that you will never forget again. After this cycle through some forests and get again close to sea by the incredible village of Carrapateira, following a dirt road along the sea that shows this region at its most beautiful landscapes. Pass by stunning beaches, with incredible colorful cliffs. Leave the ocean and go up through a beautiful round pine forest and arrive to the typical and old village once abandoned and now recovered as a hotel.

Day 7: Bike Pedralva to Sagres (38km, +550m)
Just leave the slow village behind you because it is time to get back to the coastline. Follow a coastal route that will enable you to discover some of the most beautiful and secret beaches of Vicentina Coast. After climbing to the last plateau you can calmly ride reddish dirt roads heading south along Algarve wild coast till Cape S. Vicent - the most southwestern point of Continental Europe.

Day 8: Departure - Farewell at Lisbon Airport
Believing you have enjoyed this luxuriant piece of land we say goodbye. Our Guide will pick you up at hotel according schedule time. Transfer from Sagres to Lisbon (03h30).
