Selina II was built in 1926 in Greenport NY as a family yacht with luxury & comfort in mind. She is the largest surviving of any of the cat boats built. Because of her size she is incredibly roomy & stable. Her Capt, grand daughter of the original owners, jokes "Selina II is the pink Cadillac of sail boat rides - super cushy"
41'6" LOD, 44' LOA, 16' beam, draws 4.5', weighs 16 tons, displaces net 12 tons, powered by a 68hp Westerbeake Diesel
We depart from the dock at the Harbour Inn and Marina in St Michaels and Capt. Iris gives a brief harbor tour. She talks about what you are seeing along the picturesque waterfront, the history of St Michaels and about the story of her grandfather's boat, Selina II. Then we depart the harbor and go out into the Miles River, put up sails, and follow the wind. Guests are welcome to participate as a working crew member, or simply sit back and relax, we're here to help you complete your historic yacht experience.
