  • 2 hour guided Kayak tour

By Lands - Turismo Na Natureza on Oct 21, 2018

I had written an earlier review in 2016. Still an outstanding thing to do. This time Lauro was our guide, extremely knowledgeable about flora and fauna - and everything else we asked him about Portugal

We took double kayaks, teens in one, parents in the other. Previously, when kids were younger we did adult/kid in each kayak. Hysterical family fun til the teamwork is sorted, no matter which combo we take. Always feel safe because of life jackets, stable kayaks, guide is with you.

I can never adequately describe how I t’s so peaceful, beautiful and tranquil, and yet under a flight path beside a thriving city.

Great views of Faro too! And good exercise.

Wear togs (swimming gear), sunscreen, prepare to get wet from water running off your oars onto your head or swirling around your bum in the kayak, your valuables can be left at the office or taken with you in a waterproof drum fixed to your kayak, and relax! Office was very helpful when reserving by phone suggesting water would be calmer, less wind if we went in the morning. So we did.

Highly recommend, we will probably continue to do it every year!

  • Wonderful Tour

By Lands - Turismo Na Natureza on Sep 28, 2018

We had a two hour guided tour by Lauro who enthusiastically shared his extensive knowledge of the Ria Formosa. The double kayak was easy to manoeuvre and the area is calm. We called them to book the time and had no problem scheduling the tour. We had a great time and recommend this company to others wanting to kayak.

  • Excellent nature guide and great time

By Lands - Turismo Na Natureza on Jul 04, 2018

We did the 2 hour kayak tour to Ria Formosa. We did some kayaking before but are not very experienced so we choose a double kayak. The water was calm which allowed us to observe the surrounding nature. Although it also requires some focus to peddle the boat in the right direction and listen to the guide at the same time. ;-) Our guide was very friendly and he had a lot of knowledge about the area. He shared all kind of facts about the birds, sea grass, shark eggs, oyster shells... There was also time for a stroll along a secluded beach. We had a nice experience!
