Mountain Hostels is an Enterprise born from the merger of Mountain House (2005) and Manizales Hostel (2009), brother hostels that have been pioneers of backpacking tourism in Manizales.
They were merged to achieve a perfect combination of space and comfort, and have been fully equipped for our guests convenience.
Our cheerful, helpful staff members have been highly trained to provide comprehensive information and reliable service. They are dedicated to ensuring you experience a memorable stay.
FROM THE BUS TERMINAL
By Taxi:
To get to our hostel from the airport, go to the taxi parking lot and request a taxi to La Calle de los Faroles (sometimes referred to as Calle Larga in Palermo An attendant will give you a receipt with an approximate price and assist you into a registered and metered taxi that will accurately measure the price. Along the way you should pass neighbourhoods Las Colinas - Fatima and Pio 12. You will arrive at Sancancio Shopping Center in Palermo. From this point the taxi driver should take Calle 66, and approximately half way up the street you will find our hostel signposted by a wooden sign. The average price for 2012 is 5,000 COP (5.2 USD).
By Bus:
In Front of the main entrance at the Bus Terminal take a red and white bus signposted with the destination: Palermo-San Rafael - La Sultana Minitas. You must get off at the intersection of Calle 67 with Avenida Paralela. From this point you must walk downtown to Calle 66 where you turn right. Look for the wooden hostel sign. The bus fare for 2012 is approximately 1,400 COP and takes roughly 20 minutes.
