When you arrive at Casa Campana, you'll immediately be struck by our privileged location. We're right in the heart of Arcos de la Frontera's historic Old Quarter, next to a beautiful chapel. You'll also feel a strong sense of history when you stay with us - as if you are stepping back in time. The house is more than 500 years old. Outside in the narrow streets are monuments and whitewashed houses which have stood for centuries. And it's all very romantic!Our spacious, rustic guest apartment stretches across the first floor of the house, with views onto the narrow street below. It's comfortable and private. In addition, we have a private en suite guest room on the roof terrace, also rustic in style.

The Apartment comprises: • a lounge (with sofa bed; fridge; colour TV; fan; electric heater; drinks making facilities)• a bathroom (with bath, WC, bidet, basin and shower)• a single bedroom (with single bed)• a double bedroom (with double bed, CD player/radio with a selection of CDs)The apartment accommodates a maximum of five people, using the sofa bed in the lounge. The guest rooms comprise:• a bathroom (with basin, WC, and shower)• a bedroom (with double bed or two singles; colour TV; CD player/radio with a selection of CDs; fan; electric heater; drinks making facilities)The Guest Rooms accommodate a maximum of two people in each.

By air and by carThe closest airport to Arcos de la Frontera is just outside Jerez. Jerez airport has recently been modernised and it is very easy to get in and out of. Flights to Jerez from the UK leave from Stansted twice a day with Ryanair. The airport is fairly quiet - it only handles a few international flights each day - and it's located next to the A4/E5 Cádiz to Seville motorway, from which there is a nearby turn-off to Arcos de la Frontera (the A382). Current transfer time is around 25 minutes, but a new road linking Arcos de la Frontera with Jerez will shorten that to about 15 minutes (perhaps in 2008). We offer transfers from Jerez airport (28 euros each way, maximum 4 passengers).Seville airport is situated about 10 km north east of the city. Caution is advised on leaving the airport because for about 20 minutes you will have to negotiate a busy motorway - the A4/E5 - which skirts the city. This stretch of motorway incurs a toll of about 5 euros, which you can avoid if you turn off onto the N1V road instead (this will add about 30 minutes to the journey). Either way, follow the signs to Cádiz all the way down to Jerez. Then take the signposted A382 road to Arcos de la Frontera. Gibraltar airport is located about 2 km from the city centre. If you are hiring a car it's best to walk a few hundred yards to La Linea - the link between Spain and Gibraltar (Gibraltar is British territory) because this will avoid passport control and occasional car checks at the border, where there is nearly always a queue. Most of the run from Gibraltar is via the fast and virtually empty A381. Once out of the airport you'll follow the N351 a short way and then get on the A7/E15 motorway for a few kilometres. Then take the A381 as far as the turn-off to Paterna de Rivera, from where it's another 20 minutes straight on to Arcos de la Frontera. You'll find traffic quite heavy on leaving Málaga airport. Take the N340 and follow the signs to Antequera. Then it's onto the A7 (after 20 minutes or so the traffic will thin out) and then the A45 turn-off for Seville. You need to get on the A382 near Antequera - look out for signs to Campillos. From there on in it's quite straightforward as the same road takes you all the way to Arcos de la Frontera. Granada airport is conveniently situated right next to the toll-free A92 motorway, which takes you westwards until you can get on the A382 near Antequera - see above directions from Málaga airport.
