Red Star Hostel Bratislava

In an open letter to the travelling comrades...
...we would like to announce the opening of a brand new hostel in the capital city of Bratislava. Run by fun- loving and experienced people Red Star Hostel is the right place to start your visit to Slovakia!

Twins, triples and small dorms provide the much needed privacy while bar and buffet are the places to be if you feel like socializing. If exploring the city is what you came here for a picturesque path by the Danube River will take you to the very centre in about 15 minutes.
If you choose to relax on the hostel premises we have everything you might be looking for: tennis and volleyball court, a bar to meet new people, a garden to enjoy your beer.
And if you can not make up your mind what to do go and find the receptionist who is always up for a chat and a bit of laugh.

Because the only iron curtain that is left is between Red Star Hostel and the boredom!

Directions

Red Star Hostel is easily reachable from any point of the city. Here is some useful information.

From the Main railway station (Hlavna Stanica)
Take the bus number 32 in the direction of 'Dlhe diely, Kuklovska' and get off at the 8th stop called Botanicka zahrada. The ride is approx. 13 minutes long and ticket costs 0.5 Euro.


From Mlynskie Nivy Bus Station (Autobusova Stanica)
Take the bus number 70 in the direction of Novy Most. Get off at the 3rd stop called 'Novy Most'. From 'Novy Most' stop, you can choose trams nr 1, 5, 12 (direction - Dubravka), nr 9 (direction Karlova Ves) or bus nr 28 (direction - Devinska Nova Ves). In each option it is 4 stops (get off at 'Botanicka Zahrada'). Remember to buy 1h ticket for 0.7 Euro which included interchanges.


From the airport (Letisko)
Take bus number 61 in the direction of 'Hlavna Stanica' (Main railway station) and get off at the 14th stop called 'Trnavske myto'. Then change the stop and take atram number 1 in the direction of 'Dubravka, Pri krizi'. Get off at the 10th stop called 'Botanicka Zahrada'. The ride is approx. 40 minutes long and the price of the ticket is 0.7 Euro (1h ticket).


From the Castle ('Novy most' stop)
You can take trams nr 1, 5, 12 (direction - Dubravka), nr 9 (direction Karlova Ves) or bus nr 28 (direction - Devinska Nova Ves). In each option it is 4 stops (get off at 'Botanicka Zahrada'). The ride takes about 6 minutes. Ticket cost 0.5 Euro.
