Taking travellers beyond the typical tourist views of Egypt, HANDS allows visitors to experience the cultural, historical and natural riches of Egypt but to also interact with the modern day issues that currently define this country. We bring our visitors both to the Pyramids at Giza and to the non-profits that provide young girls with vocational opportunities, and we bring our travellers the ancient Coptic Christian quarters and to dinner at the homes of locals. In our position as a NGO striving towards community development in the country, we are uniquely qualified to show visitors a more multifaceted Egypt.
A typical day may involve a guided tour of the Egyptian Museum, followed by lunch at a local restaurant. Later in the day, the group would head to the Khan el Khalili bazaar for an afternoon of shopping, then head out to dinner with a group of young Egyptians to hear about life in the modern Middle East.
