Bunratty Castle & Folk Park is open daily for visitors to explore. Reservations are not necessary.
Bunratty Castle:
Last Admission to the Castle - 16:00 Year round
Bunratty Folk Park:
Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May / Sept, Oct Nov, Dec
9:00 - 17:30 (Last Admission to Folk Park 16:15)
June – Aug
Monday to Friday 9:00 to 5:30
Saturday & Sunday 9:00 to 6:00. (Last Admission to Folk Park 17:15)
From Wedensday August 11th to Sunday 22nd of August 2010
Closing time will be 6:30pm in the evenings.
Last Admission to the Folk Park will be at 5:45
The Castle's last admission will remain the same at 4:00 during this time period.
Times may be subject to change.
For night-time dinner entertainments, enjoy the Bunratty Medieval Castle Banquet at either 5:30pm or 8:45pm or the Traditional Irish Night at the Corn Barn at 7pm (April - October). Reservations are necessary for Dinner Entertainments.
Christmas Opening Hours:
Bunratty Castle & Folk Park will close on December 23rd and reopen at 9am on December 27th.
(Closed on December 24th, 25th & 26th)

Bunratty Folk Park:
Within the grounds of Bunratty Castle is Bunratty Folk Park where 19th century life is vividly recreated. Set on 26 acres, the impressive park features over 30 buildings in a ‘living’ village and rural setting. Meet and chat with the Bean an Ti (Woman of the House) and various street characters including the Policeman and Schoolteacher who give the site its sparkle during the summer months. Enjoy the tastes, scents, sights and sounds of this enchanting place as you stroll from house to house or around the charming village complete with school, post office, doctors house, hardware shop, printers and of course the pub! It’s a wonderful experience for adults and children alike with something for everyone to enjoy!
Bunratty Walled Garden:
Another very interesting feature is the formal Bunratty Walled Garden, modelled on the original Regency period garden which supplied fruit, vegetables, and flowers to Bunratty House built in 1804 and now refurbished in typical Victorian style.
