From the outside Vizcaya is gorgeous! But when you step inside it looks like the prior owners moved out and only left the furniture they didn't want! The rooms could be so cool if they were just kept up a bit. The bathtub was under repair, the sink was leaky, the shower was like a camp shower. The pink carpet is in dire need of replacement! What a shame that this beautiful landmark is so dumpy inside.

It was a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. The breakfast was delicious and room was comfortable. The only negative is that the rooms are nearby one another so there is less privacy. Regardless, I would definitely stay at this room again.

Very easy place to stay in Sacramento. A very nice B & B near the Capitol. Very comfortable.

All of my stays at Vizcaya have been in the carriage house, which has private direct entry, a wood-burning fireplace and a luxurious whirlpool tub/shower bath. As I'm usually in Sacramento for 3-4 days, I really enjoy having a non-corporate lodging experience, at a site with beautiful gardens and a bit off the beaten path.
