PROS: The staff was very friendly, and the hotel was always clean! Beds were relatively new and very comfortable. The hotel pool and hot tub made it a relaxing experience after a long day of walking around downtown DC. The hotel is in a great location, near the mall, Downtown Silver Spring where there's tons of places to eat and shop, and its even just a few blocks from the Metro Station making all of DC virtually at your doorstep.
The Valet parking service was fairly priced, the staff even informed me that parking in Silver Spring is free on Saturdays and Sundays at meters and garages down the street, so I wouldn't have to pay the valet service all weekend, which I thought was nice.
CONS: The hotel breakfast wasn't very good, the internet was also extremely slow.

We stayed at this hotel several times because we really like the location. This hotel also does everything to make our stay most enjoyable. The staff is very helpful, the rooms are very clean and I like the free wifi and the complimentary breakfast.

I was disappointed in this hotel. The room was small, not very well cleaned - dusty, hair in the tub, stained carpet. The coffee maker was on a shelf under the sink in the bathroom and was covered in dust. The shower had hairs from the previous guest. When I asked for directions at the desk, the clerk said they were not from the area & didn't know where anything was located. What? On a good note, the valet parking was great. They brought the car promptly & were curteous. The complimentary breakfast bar had good variety. This Hampton Inn does not live up to the standards I've come to expect.
