We came to Miami for a family surgery and this hotel was recommended by the hospital - horrible mistake. The free airport shuttle toook 40 minutes to pick us up. The free internet was down for three of our five days ther. The satellite TV did not show local channels (too bad if you wanted to watch NBC or CBS) while other cable channels braodacast audio only and in-room movies did not work. The staff was slow and unresponsive (exept Mario who was great). Plus it's closer to the 'hood in South Miami than trendy Coral Gables. I am a frequent business and leisure traveler and stay in a range of hotels approximately 46 weeks out of the year; this is the worst hotel I've stayed at in a long time. I will definitely not stay here again and would recommend others look for alternatives - for ten dollars more (or the same price) there are better options near the UM campus.
