What a great stay we had At a Beach House! The rooms are bright, clean and inviting. There are relaxing views of the sparkling lake to the front and the adjacent cranberry bog and tree farm to the back. We had a great time kayaking on Great Herring Pond. We even had lunch delivered to the dock. The porches are a great place to get away and enjoy a good book. We appreciated the hosts, Denise and Jack, attentiveness and numerous suggestions of places to visit. Their dining recomendations were outstanding. There are too many things to do to see everything in one visit. We certainly plan on returning.
This charming one bedroom one bath home is perfect. The great room has two sets of sliding glass doors which offers a spectacular view of Great Herring Pond. Walk out to your own private beach. With water deck and dock. Use of gas grill, comfortable lounge chairs, and table. Also, kayaks, paddle boat at your disposal. I love watching the swans and ducks, and great sunsets.
My husband and I spent a vacation at A Beach House at Waters Edge, in Plymouth Massachusetts . I have always lived by the water, but this is the first time I have stayed right next to a 375 acre pond. Great Herring Pond is enormous, and full of lively wildlife. We immediately went kayaking in one of the kayaks parked at the beach for the guest’s use. There were hawks, ospreys, geese, ducks, swans, and really large fish that jumped and splashed around. The pond is quite large, and I think we could spend a week or a year kayaking there and not see everything!
There as a very long dock with chairs at the end of it. When you sit there, you feel like you are in the middle of the lake. The photography possibilities are fabulous. There is also a paddleboat to play with. The beach is white and sandy, and perfect for swimming.
Once you tear yourself away from the beach and pond, there is a wonderful shady screened deck overlooking the pond. The bedroom has sliding doors overlooking the pond, and a giant fluffy bed all in white. After a little nap, we ate dinner on the dock, where there is a big fancy grill and comfy tables and chairs! There is a big TV and a complete kitchen and bath. Everything was perfect and clean beautifully decorated.
I stayed at Denise and Jacks previous bed and breakfast, which was spectacular. A Beach House at Waters Edge took my breath away. I can’t believe how big the fish were, and I can’t wait to come back.
