Alajar is a lovely white-walled village in the Parque Natural Sierra de Aracena. Aracena, the nearest town, boasts one of the most beautiful living limestone caverns in Southern Spain. Enjoy delicious local food (the speciality is "jamón de belota", a mouth-watering barn-cured ham) and share tapas with the friendliest people on the planet. Roman ruins at Itálica, near Seville, and Mérida. Seville itself is a marvel of history, colour and entertainment.
