Kauri Grove Lodge

The Lodge is sited on a typical North Island farm only one hour's pleasant drive north of Auckland. There is a remarkable diversity of activities. Golf courses (Country to international.), parachuting, balloon flights, and horse riding. The wonderful Hauraki Gulf (Home of the America's Cup.) is a boating playground. The Leigh Marine Reserve and local islands offer diving and game, sport or heli fishing. More gentle pusuits include visiting local winery cafes, farming activities, bush walks, thermal mineral pools, picnicking, swimming at the beach, tennis, croquet or petanque.

The lodge is a superb country retreat guaranteed to revitalise the most jaded of souls. Purpose built in 1997, adjacent to the Thomson Kauri Grove Reserve, the lodge boasts a seamless blend of modern comforts with fittings from the original homestead. Sited on a working farm with sporting facilities nearby. We have just four guest rooms assuring personal service. There is a morning room, lounge with large open log fire, formal dining room, library, spacious decks and verandahs and lawns.

Fine country living and fine food and drink are natural partners and Kauri Grove Lodge offers both in plentiful supply. Formal or alfresco meals are served to suit the occasion with an emphasis on fresh local produce, sea food, and game. We have fine wines and a range of beverages. Computer, fax, secretarial services are available with sporting facilities nearby.
