This village sits on top of a rocky peninsula that is surrounded on three sides by the ocean and State Forests on the other. This is "Cabot Cove" as seen in "Murder She Wrote", Dying Young with Julia Roberts, Overboard with Goldie Hawn were filmed here.

Filled with French and Victorian antiques, the inn has a full elegant dining room and front parlor with ocean views. Large collection of Antique American cut glass on display. Attention to detail is everywhere. Helpful and friendly owners and staff to attend to your every need.

Our country gardens and formal herb gardens have been filmed and seen on HGTV with Jeff Cox and been in Sunset Magazine and Country Inns Magazine to mention a few. We have wonderful seating areas scattered throughout the gardens plus a gazebo and deck. Afternoon wine and light hors d'oeuvres served in afternoon at 5 PM. Family reunions and small Corp. meeting and weddings are our speciality.

Map & Directions
From the bay area take HWY. 101 north to Cloverdale and turn off at HWY. 128 going north/west, which will take you along the Navarro River thru the Giant Redwoods and put you North on Hwy.1, continue for 9 miles until you see the only stoplight and turn left (this is Little Lake Road.) go to the second street on the left and turn left (this is Howard Street.) continue two blocks to the corner at Ukiah. We are the large two story Victorian with the sign that says Whitegate Inn.
