In 1903, construction began on the 11-room, 7,000 s/f Classic Greek Revival mansion, now known as the Page House. It was often described as one of the grandest homes south of Atlanta. It is on "Millionaire's Row", a reference made by the locals.

The Page House is located int he heart of the historic district at the corner of Bellevue Avenue and Elm Street. It is next to the Laurens County Library and within walking distance to parks and recreation facilities, churches, banks, and a post office. A stroll will take you to antique and gift shops. Downtown is just four blocks away, with plenty of shops, Theatre Dublin and the Laurens County Historical Society and Museum. Walking tours are available.

Over the years, the 7,000 square-foot home became the scene of family weddings and brilliant social affairs. THe only private home in this area of the state with a ballroom, the interior has Ionic columns, ceilings over 12 feet in height, Italian tile fireplaces with hand-carved mantels, picture moldings sealed with silver then brushed with gold. The front entrance is a large two-story portico with four Ionic order columns. The single front door is surrounded by sidelights with elliptical beveled glass panels and paneled pilasters. Entrances on the left and right sides of the building also have double Ionic columns. The right entrance hasornate stained glass sidelights and the left entrance porte cochere sheltered visitors alighting from buggies, Model A and T autos, and later large touring sedans. Furnshings original to the Page family are present in the home. The library is comfortably furnished for reading and quaint gatherings. The ballroom is the scene for guest dining, genteel parties and entertainment on the grand piano by local talent. The second floor lounge is common to all of the guest rooms, and is perfect for contemplating the view through the large wall of beveled-glass windows or, enjoying the relaxing 55-gallon aquarium. By Spring 2000, the "Widow's Walk" will be accessible for the guests to enjoy a view of Dublin from 50 feet above ground, sunbathing in the day, or star-gazing at night. Large open- and covered-porches offer a quiet setting for enjoying the pleasant climate.

The Page House is suitable for small conference meetings, workshops, etc. Computer modem connections are located in each bedroom, and access to our computer is available on a limited basis. A 5-minute drive will get one to a fitness facility. Dublin has many major chain- and locally-owned restaurants. Night clubs are available.

The Page House features six large guests rooms (5 Queen beds, 1 King bed)furnished with period antiques, private bathrooms, cable TV, private phones with voice-mail, and computer modem connections. The largest room, the Executive Suite is an excellent setting for the corporate traveler or for "honeymooners". It has a King-size bed, a kitchenette and a large bathroom suite with a large whirlpool tub, a shower, and toilet closet. One room has a private balcony--great for enjoying evening relaxation. A ground-level bedroom is available for physically-challenged guests. A ramp is located at the rear entrance.

The Page House prides itself on making our guests feel at home, and special. Nightly turn-down services prepare the bed for a good-nights sleep, complete with removing the spread, fluffing the down comforters, and placing an evening candy on the pillow. Soft beverages are a courtesy to all guests. Our signature, homemade pecan pie is a special treat to our guests as an evening delight before bedtime. Professional laundry pick-up/delivery service is available.

Accommodations are available on the porches and balcony for smoking. Children 12-years of age or older are welcome as over-night guests. Kenneling is available at local veterinarian clinics and private critter-sitters. A ground-level bedroom is available for physically-challenged guests. A ramp is located at the rear entrance.

The Page House is located at 711 Bellevue Avenue, on US Hwy 80 West, 7 blocks from downtown Dublin.
