Belladonna, a budget accommodation on Maui

Belladonna is on Front Street, the main road in Lahaina. The beach is one block away and downtown Lahaina is a five minute walk from our residence. The sandy beach is perfect for sun tanning and picnics and the water is safe for leisurely swimming and snorkeling. The small boat harbor in Downtown Lahaina is great for more active water activities and surfing. The boat harbor is the launching point for excursions to neighboring islands, whale watching, fishing, suba diving, and para-sailing. Historical Lahaina, former residence of the Royal Hawaiian Kingdom and whaling capital of the Pacific, has a vibrant downtown area. There are numerous shops and restaurants to suit any budget and palate. Activity booths abound for all Island excursions such as bicycling down Mt. Haleakala, helicopter trips, and all water sports.

Our old plantation house is the essence of Island living. The main house and extensions are wood frame with ample windows to let the trade winds breeze through. The grounds are covered with lush tropical gardens that flower all year round. Guests who prefer some quiet time sun bathing near home have the use of our large fresh water swimming pool with its big deck. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The large porch with hammocks in the main house are great for relaxation and quiet reading.

The main house has two suites and two cottages. The suites have three or two rooms and each can accommodate one to four guests. The rooms are rented for a minimum of two nights and share the bathroom, kitchenette, and living room. Each room has a lock on its door. The cottages can accommodate up to four guests and each has a private bathroom, living area, and kitchenette.

Towels are provided upon arrival. There is no maid service but we do have a coin-operated laundry facility on the grounds. Continental breakfast is served each morning at our Cafe, Alii Mocha.

No smoking or pets allowed in the rooms and cottages.
