Melba Lodge is located a few minutes walk from Yarra Glen, a small township in the heart of the Yarra Valley. Yarra Glen is an historic township with many antique shops to visit. The Yarra Valley is famous for it's award winning wineries and Melba Lodge is less than 15 minutes drive from all the major wineries such as De Bortoli, Domaine Chandon, Yarra Ridge etc. We are just 15 minutes drive from Healesville Sanctuary where one can view arguably the largest variety of Australian Native fauna and flora to be seen in one place. Browse the largest craft market in Melbourne on the first Sunday of the month or visit the Yarra Glen racetrack on one of the 26 race meetings held there each year.

Melba Lodge is a luxury bed and breakfast, rated 4½ star by the RACV, comprising four rooms with queen sized beds and en suites and two rooms with king sized beds with en suites featuring a two person spa. All rooms have full air conditioning, colour televisions and ceiling fans. The property was built in late 1998 and also features a comfortable guest lounge with open fire and a spacious dining room where we offer a choice of fruit juices and cereals and serve a scrumptious english cooked breakfast.
The property has a simple but attractive garden with rustic benches and a sun swing so that our guests can relax and enjoy the view of the surrounding hills.

Every room at Melba Lodge has 5 star facilities and features 3 metre (10 ft) ceilings, quality carpets and tiled wet areas. King and queen beds are available and every room has a small wardrobe and ample drawer space. The reverse cycle room air conditioning allow our guests to regulate the room temperature to suit themselves. The colour televisions are remote controlled for your convenience. Ensuites are stocked with all amenities and have a hair dryer.

Melba Lodge, as the description bed and breakfast suggests, only serves breakfast. We offer a complimentary shuttle service to any of the local restaurants for dinner. We have a seperate spa room for the enjoyment of our guests that wish to relax. The spa room is available for the use of all guests and the spa can comfortably accommodate six people. If our guests have business to attend to, we offer the use of our email, fax and telephone facilities.

As a bed and breakfast, room service is not a traditional service that is offered but we go out of our way to accommodate any requirement that is requested such as booking an appointment at a local beauty studio and using our shuttle to get you there and back if you wish to be pampered. Our shuttle is at your disposal if you wish to be taken to any of the local restaurants or tourist attractions.

Melba Lodge is a non-smoking establishment but we are sensitive to the needs of smokers and have provided an undercover area with seating and ashtrays for our smoking guests. Melba Lodge has sleeping facilities for two adults per room and as a consequence, our property is not suitable for children.

To find Melba Lodge from Melbourne airport, take the Tullamarine freeway to the city and follow signs to the Eastern Freeway. Stay on Eastern to the end and turn left onto Springvale Road. Turn right at next set of traffic lights (Mitcham Road) and follow this road to Maroondah Highway. Turn left onto Maroondah Highway and stay on highway , passing through Ringwood, Croydon, Lilydale and when you reach small township of Coldstream take the Melba Highway, signposted to Yea. Travel for about 7km to Yarra Glen. Go through township of Yarra Glen and Melba Lodge is 700 metres past the centre of town on the left hand side. There is a better route to our property but it requires us to fax you a map as it is too complex to describe.
