Sleeping and mealskeyboard_double_arrow_up
Apart from day trips accommodation is in Department of Conservation public huts (cabins) depending on the particular trip. These range from large huts which cater for up to 25 people and include gas heating and/or wood fires and cooking facilities, through to back country huts sleeping 4. There is no electricity in these huts but there are washing facilities and in most cases swimming opportunities. On some trips tents are used but this is optional and provided by us. Clients are expected to carry their own personal gear: sleeping bag, clothing etc and a small amount of food. The majority of all food and other gear is carried by guides. All food is supplied and cooking is done by your guides. We supply home cooked and dehydrated meals where fresh food is not optional.

We have what we call the COMFORT SPECIAL, where we have a house with power and all facilities situated on the edge of a picturesque lake in a remote valley with road access. We can have numerous day trips (depending on clients wishes) from here where we can explore the surrounding area, seeing such things as pristine alpine lakes, tussock grasslands, valley walking and visit an historic cottage, once lived in by two local legends.
Policies & Restrictionskeyboard_double_arrow_up
The only restrictions are that clients must be 10 years or older, unless doing a day trip which is 8 years, and no domestic animals allowed in the park.
