Gracht means Canal, this means there was a canal ones. There are plans for opening the water again, but this will (if it happened) take a few more years. Now you will find here all kind off restaurants, from Italian, Spanish, Indian and Chinese, which offer good value, to one of the best star restaurants in Amsterdam, Also there are Shops, Ard Galleries, one of the Hottest club in Amsterdam, and the Anne Frank House with the WesterChurch at the Corner.

Our bright guest rooms are modern decorated and include a double or twin bed, colour TV, central heating, hairdryers, safe, umbrellas and coffee & tea facilities. One room has a washbasin. The rooms always have fresh plants or flowers and fruits are available in the kitchen the whole day. Our guest rooms are non-smoking.
The rooms are on the 3th and 4th floor of the house, reach by a stiff stairway, what makes it unfortunaly difficult for physical challenge people.
In the Brownstone two rooms have a new and large sharing bathroom, with shower and toilet. www.brownstone.nl In our other B&B, The Townhouse our guestrooms have there own private bathroom. www.townhouse.nl

House Rules
Check in is only on appoinment, we need to receive your flight number and arrival time, and according to the flight arrival time we will be waiting to welcome you. Please come to the B&B directly after you plane arrives.You dont have to contact us if your flight is delayted, since we check all the arriving flight on internet.
If you come by different transportation we need to know your estimated arrival time at the B&B, incase of any delays you have to let us know by phone, +31-20-6129320
You have to check in at the Brownstone B&B, Rozengracht 158. There is no big sign, just look at the house number, 158.
Check out time is before 11 am.
Guest are expected to be honest concerning damage and breakages.
Quiet hours are from 9pm till 9am
Prostitution or any other activities prohibited by the law are not allowed.
The owners can terminate your stay without any reason or recourse.
You are not allowed to have extra guests in your room on a permanent basis. This is also a rule of the Tourist police.
For security reasons, please pay extra attention to:
* people who ring your doorbell.
* people, when you give them access to the building.
* when you leave the building, be sure the front door is closed and locked.

From Schiphol Airport: you take the train (tickets available at the airport train station) which leaves from the main exit of the airport to Amsterdam Central Station ( Amsterdam Centraal) When you arrive at Central Station you take tram number 13 or 17. It leaves from the right front side of Central Station. A ticket can be bought with the tram driver. You get out at the
4 th stop, called Marnixstraat/ Rozengracht. When leaving the tram you walk back from where the tram came from. We are located at Rozengracht 158, the front door is on the right side of the jewerly Shop.
The journey from the airport to us will take aproximally 30 minutes.
Parking spaces can be found in the nearby area of the Brownstone.
