As you travel today pass through the townships of New Dhaka and Old Dhaka and a Small River Cruise on Ganga River. Before Lunch In the morning around 08:00 am, the deputed guide will pick you up from your convenient place and immediately drive you to the old part of the city. Your visit will include the places as per your interest from the following: Sadarghat (Water Front), Old Nawab's Palace also known as Pink Palace, Lalbagh Fort, Star Mosque, Dhakeshwari Temple, New Market, etc. Among the places to be visited in the new part of the city, the must will be the National Museum where you can see a " mat made from Ivory, beautiful and fine embroideries (Nakshi Kantha), piece of muslin clothes, large number of black stone images, Coins of 2nd & 3rd Century BC, and liberation gallery ", along with lot more interesting items and objects. National Parliament Building is another interesting place you should visit, and you will be amazed by its geometrical beauty. Then you will be offered a quick lunch in a fast food restaurant or Bangladeshi food in a local restaurant.
After Lunch After lunch, your guide will take you to Sonargaon (means golden city), 27km to the east which was the capital of Bengal from the 13th to early 17th Century during the Chandra and Deva dynasty. The city of Panam was a flourished city in those days. In 1611, the Sultanate collapsed under the pressure from the Mughal expansion, and the Mughals considered the location too exposed to the Portugese and the Mogh pirates and thus established Dhaka as their capital. You can also visit the folklore museum at Sonargaon.
Instead of Sonargaon, a trip to Savar is also possible, around 35km from Dhaka. You will visit the National Martyr's Monument upon arrival. This 50m high and beautifully kept structure was built as a memorial for the millions who died in the liberation war during 1971. Then the accompanied guide will arrange a boat to take you to Kakran village leaving the vehicle at Nayarhat. The boat journey will be around 20-30 minutes. Earlier, when there was widespread use of pots & utensils made from clay, most of the people of this village used to be potters. Now, you will see that only few families are still trying to hold this profession as their living. But you will be amazed with their traditional technique. After spending some time in this village, back to the vehicle and drive back to Dhaka. Arrive Dhaka at around 17:00 hours.

Days 2-8 Sundarbans "The Mangrove Forest" Home of Royal Bangal Tiger"
The Sundarbans, covering an area of 5770 sq. km of land and water, is the largest mangrove forest in the world, which has protected Bengal Tigers from natural disasters. Crocodiles, deers, wild boars, otters, over 260 species of birds, etc., are also found in this forest, besides being the habitat of the Royal Bengal Tigers. An expression "brave Bengalee" symbolized the history of people who have cultivated and developed the land confronting the danger of tigers. Some people still work in the jungle without fear of tiger, to seek natural blessings such as honey, fish, and timbers. You may be able to see them in dry season. Trip to the Sundarbans by boat, enjoying with your friends is surely the best thing to do in Bangladesh. The forest is declared a World Heritage Site.

Days 9 to 15 Sylhet & Srimongol Rain Forest/A walk in tea estates and natural forests/
Sylhet and Srimangal were parts of Assam, a tea producing region of India, and are well known for tasty tea. You may feel nostalgic seeing indigenous people working at tea estates. There are 160 major Tea Gardens in Bangladesh, and the majority of them belong to Srimongol. For miles and miles around, visitors can see the tea gardens spread like green carpets over the plain land or on sloping hills. The region has very high precipitation, and its rainforests are habitat of hanuman monkeys, other rare species of wild animals, and birds. Added attraction is the high percentage of tribal people belonging to the colorful Monipuri, Khasia, Garo, and Tippra tribes living in this region.
Near the Lawacherra Forest in Srimangal, the movie "Around the World in 80 Days" was shot.
Special Note: We can organize Monipuri cultural program during the trip to Srimongol, if there is a request by the guest(s).
