Directions
Glebe Point Road runs off Broadway (George Street), which is the main street that runs through the centre of Sydney city.
The Haven Inn is located 1.5 km south of the Sydney city CBD and 1km south from Darling Harbour and Chinatown.
It is approximately 0.5 km north of Sydney University and 7km northwest of Sydney Airport.
A taxi from the airport will cost approximately $30. The airport bus operates a service to the hotel but is nearly as expensive as a taxi, and if more than one person is travelling, it is cheaper to use a taxi. The airport train operates a service to Central Railway Station, from where you can link on to the light rail system. See below.
Driving from the airport takes approximately 20 minutes depending on the time of day. Follow the city signs then turn left on Cleveland St, right onto City Rd, immediately left on Broadway, then immediately right onto Glebe Point Rd.
From the North or Harbour Bridge approach take the City Bridge option and NOT the Harbour Tunnel.
Then follow the Pyrmont and Fish Markets sign and then the Glebe signs. This takes you to Pyrmont Bridge Rd which you follow to Glebe Point Rd where you turn right and the hotel is a further 200 metres on the left.
Travelling from the City or the Darling Harbour area, a taxi costs less than $10. The new light rail service departs from Central Railway then stops at the Capitol Theatre. From there it stops at the Entertainment Centre then Darling Harbour and Star City. The next stop is the Fish Markets then Glebe.
Buses '431', '433' or '434' travel directly to and from the hotel to all points in the city area, including Circular Quay.
If driving from the city, take either Bridge Road from Pyrmont, or Broadway from the City. In both cases turn right onto Glebe Point Road and drive 0.3km from Bridge Road and 1km from Broadway along Glebe Point Rd until you get to the Haven Inn, which is located on the corner of Glebe Point and Wigram Roads.
From Central Railway Station we would suggest a taxi or light rail, which should be less than $10, or alternately take buses 431 or 433, 434 right to the door.
