Cañada del Brujo is a very natural and virginal place in the middle of jagged mountains, close to a waterfalls placed in Yerbal river. There are many outdoor activities to do, such as horseback riding, trecking, among others like have a nice chat with characteristic people from the rural community.
Cañada del Brujo was an antique rural school, now built to welcome all people who enjoy natural sites, where electricity is still to come.
Uruguay has been declared the seventh country in biodiversity, and Cañada del Brujo is near the first protected area in Uruguay " Quebrada de los Cuervos " so we can assure you´ll love it.
Directions
If you are coming by plane or bus, FIRST: you should head to Montevideo´s bus terminal, named Tres Cruces, where you should catch a Bus towards Treinta y Tres. The bus companies might be: NUÑEZ, MINUANO, RUTAS DEL PLATA, COTA. SECOND: You should get off the bus once you arrive to Treinta y Tres and call Pablo Rado (phone 099 297448) o directly head to VillaNueva Hostel in Treinta y Tres - adress Ituzaingó 1315, where someone will take you to Cañada del Brujo. If you are coming by car, you should get Route 8 from Montevideo to Treinta y Tres, and after you arrive to Treinta y Tres you have to make in route 8 about 20 more kilometres, untill you see a vecinal route to Quebrada de los Cuervos. 14 kms from the route is Cañada del brujo.
