Since 1948, the legendary Alta Peruvian Lodge has welcomed visitors with an old-world atmosphere full of character and rustic charm . Located at the base of Utah's world-renowned Alta Ski Area, the Alta Peruvian Lodge offers easy access to the exceptional ski conditions that Alta is known for: light, fluffy powder with an average annual snowfall of over 500 inches . The morning starts with a full buffet breakfast to get your day going . And when you're ready, our shuttle service is awaiting and there to get you to the base of the lifts . At the end of the day on the mountain, you can enjoy the apres-ski treats as you relax by the fire in our warm spacious family rooms . You'll also find boards games and books to enjoy, or just sit and visit with the other guests, sharing stories about your day's adventures . You'll find complimentary coffee, tea and hot chocolate available 24 hours a day . The pool and two hot tubs are also there awaiting your return as you will want to relax and take in the beautiful surrounding scenery of Little Cottonwood Canyon . You may also choose to unwind in our bar, where you'll find complimentary popcorn and other skiers to socialize with . At dinner, you will be seated with other guests for dinner (family style seating), choosing from an assortment of gourmet style entrees . On Saturday evenings, we have our Grand Buffet . And if you're still up to it, each evening we show movies on a large screen TV in the Alf Engen Room . Or if you need a nightcap, the bar serves until 9:30pm .
