Hostel Portunhol is located at barra da lagoa beach, in the east coast of florian�polis. Ͽ�barra�, as we call it here, is a fishermen village with a great laid back atmosphere and an amazing beach. Together with mo�ambique beach they form this beautiful 15 km bay, perfect spot to surf and chill.
Portunhol�s house offers shared rooms with 4 and 6 beds and a double room, kitchen and bathrooms are shared too. We have a big living room with pool table, internet (computer available and wi-fi), cable tv, dvd and cd set (nice collection).
our cozy bar has delicious �caipirinhas�, cold beers and other drinks, open 24 hours working with the honesty system, �you follow your own tab!� we also have a wide outdoor area with many trees and plants, where you can relax on the couches and hammocks, or the tables under the trees.
breakfast is free and it is served from 8:30 to 12:00. Delicious and complete!
we cook dinner almost every evening and the menu is quite varied, but our specialty is the bbq. The prices of the meals are very fair and vary with the menu. We make it worth for you eating at the hostel.

By bus, from the Bus Station (Rodoviaria Rita Maria), getting out of the station walk to the right to Centro Bus Terminal(Ticen). At first get the bus 320 or 330, up to Lagoa Bus Terminal(Tilag) in Lagoa da Conceicao. Then get the 360 up to Barra da Lagoa, stop 'Parada Escola'. Bus fair = R$2.95. Change bus inside the Terminals for free, you pay just the first one. When you get to 'Parada Escola' bus stop walk ahead, don't take the main road that goes right, use the left one that goes ahead. Then you turn the first right, after the Surf Shop 'Bazar do Surf'. And follow the sign.
By taxi, from the Bus Station or the Airport it costs R$60,00. Ask for Barra da Lagoa, Hostel Portunhol.
