Shangri-La's Villingili Resort and Spa, the first luxury resort in the Maldives located south of the equator, offers guests a stylish and luxurious experience in a spacious and boutique-style environment . The first of its kind in the Maldives, The Villingili Golf Course is nestled on seven and a half hectares at the southern end of Villingili Island . Spectacular sights await at each of the nine holes, mostly Par 3 and averaging of 123 . 4 yards in length . Designed by Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts as a fun, recreational golf course for aficionados and beginners alike, it was developed while keeping the island's natural beauty in mind . A diversity of palms and exotic flora highlight the views of the ocean and the turquoise lagoon along a scenic walking path . Guests will delight in exploring secluded, intimate beach coves on the bordering shores .
A Club House offers light snacks and refreshments, and a Pro Shop that carries an assortment of golf apparel, gear and merchandise .
CHI, The Spa is located at the highest geographical point on the resort - 2 . 3 metres above sea level . Offering innovative therapies and healthy lifestyle programmes, there is a full-range of spa products and beauty and body treatments based on the ancient Chinese and Himalayan healing traditions, philosophies and rituals .
The resort has a well-equipped gym and fitness centre, tennis courts, a water sports and dive center with decompression chamber . Water activities available include wave-surfing, scuba-diving, kayaking, water-skiing, sailing, deep-sea fishing, or a sunset cruise on a luxury yacht . There is a house reef with colourful corals and exotic reef fish . For less experienced swimmers, there are "snorkel gardens" close to the shoreline .

Transfer rates are subject to 10% service charge and 12% GST . The Maldivian Bed Tax of USD 8 will stop being applied on 1 December 2014 .
Bookings made less than 3 days prior to arrival, domestic transfer will be subject to availability
For arrivals after 10:30 pm, an overnight stay in Male is recommended .
Guest staying during New Year's Eve will pay a compulsory dinner charge at USD$500 . 00 per adult and USD$250 . 00 per child subject to 10% service charge and 12% GST, to be paid to the hotel directly .
