Irelands most Inland County - it is the only one bordered by counties that have no coastline - Laois is perhaps one of the lesser known and more unexplored areas of the country, with much to offer. Its lovely genuine welcoming people and unspoilt landscape that makes Laois that 'special' place in Ireland.

Visitors are always drawn to the Rock of Dunamaise and the great gardens at Abbeyleix, Gash, Heywood and Emo Court. Laois is a farming county but it is well known for hosting the nostalgic Steam Rally in Stradbally every August, also the Ossory Agricultural Show in Rathdowney every July, and in more recent times the Electric Picnic Music Festival in Stradbally, now one of the largest festivals in Europe.
