From Thessaloniki the nearest route is through Grevena (2 hours).
From Athens the closest route for Metsovo is along the national road Athens-Trikala (4.5 hours). About an hour over the duration of a journey through Ioannina, following the opposite direction along the national road Athens - Patras - Ioannina.
Approximately 1 hour at the impressive Meteora and the distance is 100km from Igoumenitsa and less than 1 hour through the Via Egnatia.
