The Pousada Barroco na Bahia is located in the famous Historic Centre of Salvador, just a four minutes walking from Pelourinho. Each of the 20 individual decorated apartments provides a bathroom, TV, air conditioning and a frigobar. They are situated in four extensive restored buildings, which provide modern comfort on the inside but also conserve the glamour of colonial past on the outside.
Centre of this complex of buildings is a broadly constructed patio with an originally preserved bath house of the early 19th century and a hundred year old mango tree. Next to that a villa of the Art Nouveau stile is located, in which the Baroque Choir is based and where the delicious breakfast is served in gorgeous Belle Époque rooms. In its basement is situated the "Berlin Café", an authentic German beer cellar, which is also open to the public regularly. Accessible from the patio as well is the air conditioned concert hall "Sala Dom Lucas Moreira Neves " with pipe organ, grand piano and glamorous historic decoration. Regularly concerts and lectures are given here.
In the third building four master suites the swimming pool and the "Piscina-Bar", which is open to all guests, are located. The fourth building is decorated in Art Decó stile with an ice café, the German consulate, more guest rooms and a wide roof terrace with an astonishing view to the historic city centre of Salvador da Bahia.
