Apartments Irena are located in the city of Hvar, in a quiet environment, on a natural hill, where every guest can enjoy in a wonderful view of the crystal clear sea, of the island Palmii ana and beautiful beaches, which are situated only few minutes of walking distance.

Apartments Irena consist of 4 apartments and one double room: A1, A2, A3, A4

In our offer we also have a room, which could come as a special accommodation unit , equipped with a private bath, air conditioned, with a satellite TV, separate fridge and a terrace with a lovely sea view.

Since our family derives from the line of brave fishermen, we offer our guests, of course if there are any interested, an opportunity to enjoy in exciting fishing trip with our boat.

If you want to taste real Mediterranean seafood, our hosts could prepare for you a real delicious treat consisting of a lobster and a fresh fish.

For all the guests who decide to stay in the apartments Irena longer than 15 nights, the hosts will organize one seafood dinner (fish dish) free of charge. For everyone who wants to try and make their own BBQ, we offer a large grill and wood oven, free of charge.

Apartments Irena have secured private parking for its guests.

We would like to put an emphasis on the benefits of the arrivals in the months of June, September and October, when guests too can enjoy in a warm water and a bit calmer atmosphere, which distinguish those months from the peak of the touristi s season.

How to reach Hvar:

By car

If you are travelling to Hvar by car, depending on the direction (Austria, Slovenia, Hungary) you need to go through Zagreb to Split or Drvenik with main Croatian highway A1, or along the Croatian coast from Rijeka to Split or Drvenik.

From Split you can take car ferry to Stari Grad on Hvar (105 minutes), or from Drvenik (south of Makarska) to Sućuraj on Hvar island (25 minutes).


By plane:

The closest international airports to Hvar are the ones in Split and Dubrovnik (Dubrovnik is 100km from Drvenik and ferry Drvenik - Sucuraj). From Dubrovnik, frequent bus lines are available to Drvenik or Split, or you can choose taxi or car rental.


Airports in Croatia

Split Airport is situated 30 km from Split ferry station. Transfer of passengers from the Airport is organised by buses, also there is a local bus every 20 minutes and taxis are available during the operating time of Split Airport.

In Split you can choose one of the sea transports to Hvar town, Stari Grad or Jelsa, by catamarans or ferries.

International airports
Zagreb, Split, Dubrovnik, Pula, Rijeka, Zadar and Osijek. Only smaller planes (charter) can land at the Brac airport.


By ferry:

The easiest way to come to the Hvar island wether you come by car, train or plane is from Split and Drvenik (Dalmatia) or Ancona and Pescara(Italy) by ferries or catamarans.

There are also cross - island ferry lines to Hvar from Korcula, Vis and Brac (Dalmatian islands), and coastal boat line from Rijeka to Dubrovnik and vice versa.

By train:

The train station in Split is right across the ferry station in Split, where you can take a ferry to Stari Grad, or catamaran to Jelsa and Hvar city.
Other option is to take a bus to Drvenik, (92 km from Split), where you can take a ferry to Sucuraj on Hvar island.
