Melina Guest House is a mansion renovated into a charming style hotel, decorated with objects and pictures from the past. The buildingi s history goes back to the Turkish period, designed and constructed upon the requirements of a Turkish noble on the 18th century. Today operates as a guesthouse with warm and friendly atmosphere, components of Cretan hospitality. Melina Hotel in Chania is available for booking all year round!
On the ground floor is a large reception, sitting and dinning area, a fully equipped communal kitchen with bar and WC. On the same floor there is a one bedroom apartment equipped for people with disabilities. It is the only hotel in the old town of Chania with access to the disabled, equipped and designed appropriately.
The first floor consists of 3 double rooms which can accommodate up to four persons and a one bedroom apartment suitable for 5 to 6 persons. All rooms and apartments have ensuite bathroom, coffee making facilities, free internet access, TV, refrigerator and air condition. On the same floor there is a courtyard with tables and flowers
Crete is the largest of the Greek islands and as a result it offers a diverse range of environments, so much so that at times it hardly feels like an island at all. The city of the same name, which serves as the capital of the province, is a bustling town which spreads outward from the picturesque Venetian old town and harbour. Sandy beaches line the coast to the east and west of the city and excellent roads along the north coast link it to surrounding villages and communities, allowing the option of living in a rural or seaside setting without sacrificing access to modern conveniences.
The White Mountains, which contain more than 40 peaks over 2,000 meters high, stand guard over the entire region and offer limitless hiking and walking opportunities, not least of which is the Samaria Gorge, the longest gorge in Europe declared as a National Park and protected by the Greek State. Combine the advantages listed above with the fact that Crete boasts the longest period of sunshine per year in Europe and it is not difficult why more and more people visit Chania every year!
